Rice
At first, soak the rice in the water for 30 mins. Then drain the water and wash rice in the running tap water. Keep it aside.
Long grain basumati rice shall be used for matar Pulao. -
Frying
Heat ghee in a kadai and add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, cloves, whole pepper, cumin seeds.

When it sizzles, add sliced onion and fry for 2 min on low flame.

Add green peas, rice, salt, sugar and fry for another 2 min.

Add water and mix well.

Cover the kadai and cook for 8-10 min.

Now Matar Pulao is ready and serve. Enjoy!
